My main takeaway are the levels of exceptions made for the policies and regulations. They make sense to why they are needed, but can add confusion in fully understanding what is  or is not a requirement.

It is extremely important that the student is aware of what is expected from him/her in the legal agreement. This is a binding contract and can't be completed until all the sections are filled and supporting documents are attached as well.  The brochure has to have all the components that are required to have. I have to make sure everything is clear and the students has all the information and tools that the institution offer them. It's great to be prepared for any kind of questions in the interview.

Difference in submitting new program vs revised program applications.

What I've learned so far is that there's a lot responsibility to find the right candidates that will fit the needs of the students and institution. Learning the regulations, rules and statues are important to stay in compliance with The Florida Commission for Independent Education.  Continuing education is also part of the job to stay up to date with changes and even to refresh the memory with the admission process.

I have learned about marketing strategies

It is important to say what you mean and mean what you say! Have integrity as we are also teaching our students professionalism:) If we are unable to directly help our students then we can definitely assist them in getting with someone within our institution that can! Take the extra step to make a student feel seen and understood!

Building a strong rapport of trust with our students is necessary for our institution to thrive and for our students to be successful.
